Raccoon trapping and removal is common not only in the rural areas, but also in residential neighborhoods, schools, businesses and farms. They come down greenbelts or out of culverts and find their way to your yard, attic or crawlspace under your patio or home.
While Raccoons are cute, they can rip up lawns, steal fruits and vegetables, kill prized Koi fish from ponds just for food. They also make their homes in attics and under homes, tearing up insulation and making a general mess of things. Where they live, they leave their droppings and urine, which will pose health risks. One of the biggest health risks is raccoon roundworms, which is also called Bayliscacaris Procyonis. In addition, raccoons are considered a primary carrier of the rabies virus.
The best way to address a Raccoon problem is trapping and abatement. Then removing the Raccoon from the property.

A customer contacted me after hear strange sounds in the chimney. It wasn't December so it couldn't be Santa. While doing the inspection, I discovered a Raccoon in the chimney/fireplace. With no way to reach the Raccoon, I looked for a way to trap the Raccoon.
The day after discovering that indeed a Raccoon had been living in my customer's chimney... I received a text that it was caught right where I expected the Raccoon to be going up and down the house.
The Raccoon that had been living in the chimney (see other video here) was finally caught. Once caught, the homeowner put a chimney topper on to prevent further intruders.
